American Apparel shirts are fantastic. They are thin (pack very well), extremely comfortable, surprisingly warm in the case of the baby thermal, and breath very well in the case of the summer tee. I am have a slim build and do appreciate the comfortable fit that I get from these shirts while not losing length in in the body or sleeves. Good stuff I would say.
Finally found the Dexter shirt! October 12, 2008 M. J. Haller (Italy) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I rarely, and I mean rarely post a review. I have been searching high and low for the Dexter shirt. The dark blue and black henley's recently arrived and I couldn't be more pleased. They are incredibly comfortable and I have been attracting a load of attention when wearing them. I have actually wore them out to the club and feel as if I am the center of attention. I am 5'9" 175 lbs with an "Abercrombieish" build. If you have a similar build purchase a medium.

THE Dexter shirt. December 9, 2008 Jesse Chapman (Orlando, FL United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
For those who don't watch Showtime's very amazing show Dexter, it's about a serial killer named Dexter who kills people that meet his strict code (murderers, rapists, etc.) It's morbid and totally the best ever. One detail that I love about the show is that every time Dexter murders someone, he wears the same shirt. I call it the kill shirt for obvious reasons, though other websites refer to it as the combat shirt, kill uniform, kill outfit, etc. While there isn't any official name for it, this American Apparel shirt is the closest match I've found. I plan on wearing mine only when I'm angry. Eventually, people will notice this and talk about it when I'm not around. "You ever notice that he wears the same shirt when he's angry?" I realize that this plan may take years for people to catch on. And I'm okay with that. If you plan on purchasing a kill shirt, don't be fooled by those loose-fitting knock-offs. The true kill shirt connoisseur will notice how the American Apparel fitted style accentuates the figure, making it a perfect Halloween costume, conversation piece, or, I suppose, a nice warm shirt during the winter season. This style of shirt is called a Henley (as opposed to a polo, a t-shirt, etc.) It's a similar type of material to that of Long Johns thermal wear. [...]
A shirt I can live in! January 24, 2008 RedReplicant (Charlottesville, VA) A friend bought me this shirt from Amazon, and I can't thank them enough! I'm a tall lady (5'11") and I have terrible trouble finding shirts with long enough sleeves. The sleeves on this henley are just wonderful. They fit closely without pinching and go all the way to the middle of my hand. I couldn't be happier. The body of this shirt also fits snugly and hits me mid-hip. A great choice for the tall set. In the ladies American Apparel I always get a large since they run on the tight side, but for this shirt I went with a medium and got a great fit. I usually wear a ladies medium in shirts, so I'd say the sizing on this is spot on. I have also noticed that the sewing on this shirt appears more sturdy than most of the other AA shirts that I've seen, since it's flatlock stitching instead of their usual hems. I also have to give them credit for this henley fabric; it's the best I've worn for comfort and softness. This shirt is my new favorite and definitely a wardrobe staple.
