Product Description Salter's 914 Baby and Toddler scale was designed with your baby, as well as the future in mind. Thecomfortable, rounded weighing tray fits securely to keep baby safely in place. And the "hold" feature keeps a steady weight in display even when baby moves about. The 914 also quickly converts to a toddler scale with the removal of the weighing tray. This scale allows you to track your child's growth from infant to toddler and will provide years of use. The scale with tray removed looks just like a Panda Bear, making weighing more fun! Weighing modes include pounds (lbs) and kilograms (kg). Max capacity is 44 lbs (20kg) with accuracy to 1/2 ounce (10g). The extra large 1.2" tall LCD makes reading the display super easy. Power is provided by one 9V battery (not included), and the auto shut-off extends the battery life even further. A 10 year Salter warranty is also standard. Hold Function Uses one 9V battery (not included) Dimensions L - 11.8, W - 21.6, H - 5.7 Net Weight - 104 oz 10 year warranty White

Very Nice Scale May 21, 2004 R. Jones (KC,MO) 20 out of 21 found this review helpful
We had originally purchased a cheaper scale that was not digital. I used it a few times and it was very hard to get an accurate reading. I took it back and bought this one instead. It is wonderful! It automatically sets itself to zero when it's turned on. If you want to weigh the baby with a diaper on, you can weigh a spare diaper and the scale will off-set to make up for the additional weight. It's amazing to see how fast my son is growing. It does convert to a toddler scale when the child is able to stand.
Very Accurate June 12, 2004 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
We originally bought a cheaper scale that wass not digital. After going to the doctor, we discovered that it was drastically inaccurate. We returned it and purchased this one, which has been accurate to the oz. for every doctor visit since. Our only complaint is that the plastic piece that attaches the infant scale to the base is very fragile. We had purchased a unit that we discovered had been previously opened and we had to be very careful with the connecting piece.
Saltier 914 baby scale July 13, 2008 Sandra L. Pankratz (Wisconsin) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this scale to weigh my cats as I have one that is 14 lbs and should be about 8 lbs (adopted her at that weight). I also have 5 others that I want to monitor their weight to keep them healthy. The cats are pretty good at staying on the scale and it registers quickly to get a weight; some of them love to lay in it. It appears to be very accurate as the weight did not fluctuate when I weighed them several times. I have only had it about 2 months and only use it about once a month so cannot attest to its long-term reliability but it seems like a good product to me. Since a half a pound is a big deal to a cat, I wanted something to give me ounces and be accurate and it seems to do both.
Great value! August 23, 2007 D. Hunsicker 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This scale is a great value for the money. This is more than sufficient for home use and the fact that it can be used as a toddler scale when your child gets older means you'll be able to continue using this for a few years. And the fact that it displays in both lbs and kilos is great for our international family with members who are more comfortable with either one or the other systems of measure. The only possible downside of this scale is that it only measures in full and half ounces (or hundreths of grams). But other than your pediatrician, who really needs to get that exact about their baby's weight? I highly recommend this scale.
Baby Scale May 19, 2008 J. Quackenbush (Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just love this scale. It is so much better than the general scale we had initially purchased -very accurate to the doctor's scale and the health department scale. Even when the baby jiggled around on it, the weight was easy to maintain. I liked the idea that I could place a towel or blanket on it and "0 out" the weight so the baby was comfortable. What a blessing it was to have this scale! Why? I was nursing my newborn and the doctor wanted to supplement him with formula because he said he wasn't gaining weight quickly enough. Using the scale helped me prove him wrong. We kept the scale and got rid of the doctor!
