Product Description Pediatricians recommend swaddling to comfort and soothe newborns, but loose blankets are difficult to keep snug. SwaddleMe wings have Velcro tabs, to wrap up your newborn and stay comfortably in place. As baby grows, wings readjust for a perfect fit. SwaddleMe wings are easily opened to prevent overheating, and the leg pouch can be popped down for a quick diaper checking or changing. SwaddleMe can also be used in the car seat, simply insert car seat harnesses through the access slits!

So much better than the Miracle Blanket April 16, 2006 snshn 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We bought this one first and it worked very well until my son outgrew it. So I decided to try the Miracle Blanket since it can be used for bigger babies.... I hated!! It is very difficult to wrap it around it and he does not sleep as well. So I decided to buy the next size up of the SwaddleMe blanket instead, peace again. I returning the other blanket, at $30 a pop not worth it. This is much cheaper and it works much better
How we got her to sleep through the night September 23, 2005 A. J. (Illinois) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We love the swaddle me blankets. We have the flannel and the fleece. This has helped us with getting our daughter to sleep through the night (in just two weeks of using them). She loves to be swaddled but is very strong and would wiggle out and then wake up and need to be swaddled again. With the velcro she is less able to get out of the swaddle and feels safe and secure and sleeps longer. The fleece has a little more stretch to it and is easier to use but the flannel is a little lighter weight for the summer so not to overheat. Have not tried the cotton ones. Definitely worth a try!
Must Have for All New Parents December 7, 2005 Sherry (Florida, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this Item. It was a life saver. At around 4-6 weeks, my baby would only sleep if held or laying on his side next to me after breastfeeding. Since it's impossible to hold a baby all night and laying next to me on his side was a "No, No" for SIDS, I was looking for something that could help me get him to sleep in his bassinet on his back as is suggested to prevent SIDS. I had tried swaddling my baby in blankets, but after a few weeks he had figured out how to get out of it. I also didn't like that he could undo the blanket and it was loose around his face, another "no, no" for SIDS. So I bought these swaddle Me blankets that fasten easily with velcro. And shortly after we started using the Swaddle me's, he started sleeping through the night, occasionally waking up for a 15 minute feeding (which I keep him swaddled for) and then he falls right back to sleep and I carefully pick him up and put him back in the bassinett for the rest of the night. He's 4 months old now and we're still using them.... Buy a few, because if we wets himself, which boys do a lot, you'll need another one to switch him into.

I bought this when my little guy was a couple weeks old because he is a champion squirmer and could extract himself from any swaddle, and then become mad about it. I was a little reluctant because of some negative reviews on here, but we couldn't afford anything pricier and i really wanted to try something. The first time we used it my husband and mother-in-law swore it was too small (he was about 10 pounds then). But after a few days of staring at it and nearing tears in my sleep deprived frustration, I decided to try it for myself. With a little stretching I got him in with no problems, and he has been happy ever since. Now, at 13 pounds, the velcro doesn't all meet up because it is indeed a bit small, but we are planning to buy the next size up. This really saved our lives, he sleeps like he never did before.
Worth Its Weight In Gold October 3, 2006 Melanie Mendelson 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When my daughter was born, I didn't know about swaddling, and it would take me HOURS to get her to sleep! I would feed or rock her in my arms until she falls asleep, then put her in her crib... and she'd flail her arms, wake up and cry, and I had to start all over! What a nightmare! Then I figured out that since her arms wake her, it would make sense to wrap her in something so she couldn't move them as much... so I started wrapping her in regular receiving blankets. It worked! It became much easier to get her to sleep. But then she wiggled out of those receiving blankets and wake up again. When she was a little over a month old, somehow I came across SwaddleMe blankets on the Internet and immediately bought it. It worked great! It was so easy to wrap my daughter in it, and it stayed put. My daughter started sleeping so much better! I wish I found those blankets sooner - it would've saved me from so many sleepless nights! 2 years later, my son was born, and thankfully I already knew about those blankets from the start. He goes to sleep great in the SwaddleMe blanket! Out of curiosity, I tried to put him to sleep without this blanket, and his arms wake him right away - exactly the same as my daughter! I consider this blanket one of the most important baby items you could buy. It should be a must for a new mother who wants to get some sleep!
