    Streamlined Efficiency and Convenience
Double strollers can be bulky and difficult to maneuver, with side x side seats creating an extra-wide profile, or other tandems being too deep to maneuver easily. The Joovy Caboose, however, is designed for streamlined ease. Sporting a neat, compact profile, the Joovy Caboose Stand-on Tandem Stroller is a breeze to get around. It measures 41.5 x 21.5 x 38 inches (HxWxD).A foam-padded handle offers additional comfort, and a roomy under-seat basket provides room for your traveling essentials.

A Fun, Comfortable Ride for your Children
The stroller is compatible with many infant car seats (see list below), offering easy "snap and go" convenience for traveling with a young infant. Once your baby is old enough to sit up independently, she can sit facing forward, secured safely with a five-point harness. Snacks and a drink are close at hand thanks to the removable child tray, and a removable sun shade keeps her safe from the elements.

Whether you're browsing at the mall or trekking through the zoo, your older child will love the versatility that the Joovy Caboose provides. When she gets tired of walking, she can simply hop onto the standing platform. Comfortably padded handles are available for her to hold. Or she can take a rest on the adjustable, padded seat, which is also equipped with a three-point harness.

    Compatible Car Seats
The Joovy Caboose ultra-light Tandem Stroller can be used with the following infant car seat models: The Graco Snug Ride Series and Safe Seat; the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio and Primo Viaggio SIP; the Evenflo Embrace; the Compass Light & Portable Infant Car Seat; the Britax Companion; the Safety 1st Designer 22; the Eddie Bauer Infant Car Seat (models 22-625 and 22-626); the Baby Trend Latch-Loc & Flex-Loc; the Chicco Key Fit Car Seat; the Combi Centre Series and Combi Connection; and the Maxi-Cosi Mico.

5 out of 5 stars Great alternative to a double stroller...   November 9, 2005

We have a 3 year old and a 4 month old and this stroller suits us well. My daughter is very tall for 3 and her feet drag on the ground in most strollers so this is perfect for her. I like that I can buckle her in when I need to and she likes the option to stand giving her a little more freedom than in the past. After pushing around a Graco Duo-Glider that I borrowed from our sister in-law this thing seems so light! Other tandems are very long making them hard to steer, this one has a shorter footprint so it is a lot easier to manuever. My son is large too and outgrew his infant carseat very early so the front seat does need to be reclined for him due to his age. This does not give my daughter a ton of room when she is sitting but he'll be able to sit in the upright position soon enough. I think it is great for getting the older child from the car to the store w/o having to worry about traffic in busy parking lots. It's a lot more convenient than bring a HUGE double stroller everywhere for a 3 year old who might want to ride and might not. It should be useful for a lot longer than a traditional double stroller for anyone with kids spaced a couple of years apart.

I had a similiar stroller "sit n stand" for my oldest two children which were 3 yrs apart and absolutely loved it even though it was more costly than this one and much heavier. Ten years later I have a 2 year old and expecting this spring. I have spent many hours online and in stores searching for a decent double stroller that is not heavy, hard to steer or bulky when folded to no avail. Then I found this! Even though I don't have the baby yet.....it folds up smaller than my single stoller and steers much smoother so I am extemely happy using it with only one child. With the holiday shopping I use the back section to carry packages and my toddler is content in the front, or if he gets bored I swap out positions with the packages. I know without a doubt I will love it even more when the baby comes.

The only "problem" if you can even call it that is there is no cup holder or tray for parent. I never have used the tray on my old travel system and a cheap $5 attached cup holder did the job for me!

5 out of 5 stars Joovy is MUCH Better and worth the extra money   February 9, 2006

Yesterday I logged on the to the Babies R Us site to write a five star review for the Caboose Stroller. We absolutly love this stroller. I was shocked to see the recent one star reveiews that have been posted in the last few weeks. So I took the reviewers advice and visited the local Target. Here is what I found:

1. From Handle to tray front the Caboose is 11 inches shorter. The shorter wheelbase makes for much easier steering.
2. The Caboose has a higher handle height for the parent. It also has the same deluxe foam handles that the $800 Bugaboo has. The child handles have the same deluxe foam. The infant carseat attachment is even covered in the deluxe foam.
3. One reviewer mentioned that the Caboose is square tubing and not all accessories fit, but square tubing is far stronger than round or oval tubing. It also looks cool. The frame is very rigid and strong.
4. When folded the Caboose is half as tall 12 inches, the other one is 24 inches. The caboose tray and canopy nest perfectly when folded. The Baby Trend is 28 inches tall when folded if the canopy is left on. The Baby Trend tray also slams into the floor when the stroller is folded. The Caboose has a metal folding lock, the Baby Trend has a plastic one.
5. The Caboose canopy is much bigger and has canopy locks on each side.
6. The harness buckles on the Caboose are deluxe with light reflective straps. This is a good comparison of the quality of the strollers. The Caboose has a light reflective harness that has at least 3X more light reflective materail. The Baby Trend harnesses are very difficult to operate and can pinch. Research other Baby Trend product reviews and you will see this problem is already documented. The five point harness on the Caboose has two shoulder height positions. One of the positions is completely above the seat back height of the Baby Trend stroller. That is the reason that it appears that there is more room on the Baby Trend rear seat. The Baby Trend front seat back is so low there is no head support for the front child.
7. I checked the warranties on both products. The Caboose has a lifetime and the Baby Trend 180 days.
8. The parent tray on the Baby Trend I looked at was already broken. The push button on the side of the tray that releases it to rotate had fallen out and the tray could not be locked in place.
9. The Caboose infant car seat attachment is compatable with many more car seats. It will take the Chicco, Britax, Compass, Graco, Evenflo and Peg seats. The Baby Trend will not accept many of the new carseats on the market.
10. The fabric on the Caboose is rip-stop 600D nylon. This is the same fabric back packs and luggage use for it's durability. The Baby Trend is a light weight poly/cotton.

If you really look close there is really no comparison of the quality of these two products. The Caboose is a better engineered product and each important component is better quality than the Baby Trend. As I walked out of the Target with my Caboose the lady working in the juvenile department asked me where I got my cool stroller.

5 out of 5 stars Great but don't forget your accessories   January 7, 2006

After my 3rd child was born a few months ago, we bought a jogging side-by-side stroller for him and his 2.5 yr old sister (the 7 yr old has to walk!) It works okay.... but it isn't really meant for shopping and doesn't accommodate the infant seat. It absolutely has its uses but in my state, most stores aren't ADA compliant and if they aren't, it is impossible to get a side-by-side stroller in the door. Just before the holidays I saw this stroller and knew I was going to have to gift myself. It has been great. It is a bit longer than the picture lets on, but I think shorter than the average tandem. It turns well so I can back into stores (since most don't have that wheelchair button that is so useful for moms). My only complaint is that there is no drink holder or parent tray.... so don't forget to pick up some accessories when you buy this stroller. I recommend a bag hook (the basket is fairly inaccessible with the infant seat in) and cup holder at the least. Setup was about 5 minutes with no tools needed. It is heavier than it looks (it is NOT an umbrella stroller for 2) but compared to other duals, it seems light. While it is long, it folds fairly compactly and can be locked closed. I wish it had been available last September - I could have saved myself the 200$ for the jogging stroller.

I was in desperate need of a double stroller. When I had a newborn and a toddler, I got a Kolcraft Jeep double. It was heavy and bulky and nearly impossible to navigate. I recently purchased a double umbrella side-by-side, thinking it would solve my problems. While I loved the size and maneuverability, it was simply too wide to handle some door sizes and many store aisles in the city we live (forcing us to wait outside while family got to look around - no fun!). So, I began hunting for something better. I debated between the Safety 1st/Eddie Bauer Transit Tandem, the Baby Trend Sit N Stand, and the Joovy Caboose. After inspecting them all, measuring, and going for test drives, here are my results:

Safety 1st/Eddie Bauer Transit Tandem:
Weight - 33.8 lbs. (according to the Walmart website, but it sure didn't feel that high)
WHEELS footprint (not to be confused with manufacturer dimensions) - 33x20
TOTAL folded/collapsed size (including all attachments such as footrests, canopy, etc. since who wants to remove them every time?) - 47 long x 13 wide x 16 high
Overall impression - I really liked this stroller: compact size, cushy child straps. The only problem I had was leg/foot room. My 3-1/2 yo daughter and almost 2 yo son (both VERY low on the height percentile, like 5%) already had very little in BOTH positions. Considering they will only get bigger, I would definitely recommend this stroller for smaller children, like 4-24 months. Otherwise, excellent navigation and good collapsed size.

Baby Trend Sit N Stand:
Weight - 25.3 lbs.
WHEELS footprint - 40x21
TOTAL folded/collapsed size - 50 long x 21 wide x 14 high
Overall impression - Not bad, and if I hadn't tried the next one, this would have been my choice (by default). Fairly good maneuvering, although the parent cup tray was very cheap.

Joovy Caboose:
Weight - 24 lbs.
WHEELS footprint - 31.5x21.5
TOTAL folded/collapsed size - 46 long x 21.5 wide x 15 high
Overall impression - Excellent! The very compact wheel footprint makes this a dream to handle. It fits in tight squeezes with ease, which was my main concern. The lack of parent cupholder doesn't faze me, since they're easy to add. Some people have negative comments on the sliding seat. While I can see how some wouldn't like this, in my opinion, it's not like it slides constantly and easily. It requires a little effort to move, so that doesn't bother me either. In fact, my 3 yo daughter LOVES LOVES LOVES (her words) this stroller, so I let her pick which color (she chose orange). This stroller is by far the most compact, affordable double and well worth the slightly higher expense over the BT Sit N Stand. That is, if you want a better constructed, smaller footprint, easier to navigate stroller.
