All-Around Favorite Lip Gloss March 21, 2007 Victoria Austin (Texas) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
There is good reason this Nars lip gloss won the Best of the Sephora award for 2006. I've been in love with Nars products since my daughter introduced them to me several years ago and now they are a staple in my cosmetic drawer. I've never been that infatuated with lip glosses because they always seemed to slip and slide around on my more mature lips until I tried this one that came in a gift set from my bonus daughter with Nars Orgasm blush (another love). There are three formulas of this lip gloss: sheer, cream and semi-sheen. I like the creamy version. Nars employs a sponge type wand to apply this gloss, and I haven't experienced any leaking from this tube when I travel with it as I have experienced with Dior's DiorAddict gloss. This gloss stays on my lips for hours without smudging or bleeding. It's the all-around best I've experienced, although I do like DiorKiss glosses for the same reason. This gloss is the perfect texture, shine and color with the ability to stick to you lips without feeling too sticky and gooey, but giving a soft, glowing sheen with a creaminess in several beautiful colors. I often use this over Nars great lipcolors, or simply wear it alone. Between the luscious color - Orgasm (soft pinnk) and Sweet Dreams (soft pink with gold shimmer) being my favorites, although similar in color -- and the wearable comfort factor, Nars lip gloss will remain in my cosmetic drawer. - Victoria Austin
one of the best lipglosses around November 29, 2004 Kimberly Ann (Dallas, Texas) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
In my opinion (Francois)Nars has proven to be the best of the best in the professional makeup artist lines that emerged a few years ago and this lipgloss is no exception. Highly pigmented and luscious, you'll want one of every color. Try Sweet Dreams (a baby shimmer pink), reportedly a favorite of some of the the Sex and the City cast (according to some magazines)or Harlowe, a shimmery-neutral beige that is incredibly wearable. They're all gorgeous and, even in the $20 range, worth every penny!
Not Super Sticky January 11, 2006 MistressM 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Lip glosses generally turn me off because I hate that super sticky feel...plus, it's never sexy when your hair gets stuck in your lip color. This gloss isn't so bad-- it's not super sticky and the color lasts longer than you might expect. I purchased it in Dirty Shame, and it looks awesome, a great berry color. It is a little expensive, but I'll definately refill when my tube runs out.
the BEST colors August 26, 2006 Spaced 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is the best lip gloss that I have found. It is pricey for sure, but the full spectrum of colors are beautiful, and the texture of the gloss is great too. Shiny but not too, too sticky, and not too sickly-sweet smelling (I really hate that). As far as being long-wearing, I think it is comparable to other glosses--meaning no, it is not going to last for a long time and you will have to reapply during the day, but not constantly. Because of the price I can't experiment with as many of the colors as I would like, but at least I know that I will almost certainly love the ones I can get.
Dense pigmentation gloss that colors like lipstick November 7, 2007 Cornflake Girl (Huntington Beach, CA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Nars makes great lip gloss - evident from all the positive reviews on Amazon. It has a non-sticky texture with dense pigmentation, so you can go easy and end up with a stain, or do a couple of layers and have a beautifully laquered look. Shade-wise: Talitha is a beautiful night-out shade in a rich berry pink that borders on wine, which is super popular this Fall/Winter. Orgasm, however, is over-rated. It can be too orange creamsicle-ish, especially on light ivory skin like mine.
