A must-have for the field shooter! May 28, 2008 Jerry Tieng (Southeast Asia) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I got two of these and with the stock 809 battery with the camera, I hardly ever run out of juice while shooting in the field. I use 16Gb SDHC's and they make a perfect pair. 2hr battery = 16Gb My only problem now is storage, storage, storage!
Terrific buy! July 3, 2008 B. Grant (GA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This battery is the best investment you can make for your HF-100. Whereas the default battery lasts under an hour, this one lasts easily over two hours with very little extra weight. It is a little larger but I find the larger size actually helps me stabilize while using the camera by placing my thumb under the battery. I wouldn't own the HF-100 camera without this battery.
The natural Choice to make August 20, 2008 Nils Valentin (Tokyo, Japan) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is the battery that should come with your video camera by default. What do you do if you want to record events that last longer than 1.5 hours ? You upgrade the battery, right. The BP-827 (4.5h) is not easy available yet everywhere so the BP-819 becomes the only choice. It can last close to 3h and thats enough to capture most events. (Fireworks, school event of your kid, concerts, theatre etc.). With the external charger the battery is charged in roughly the same time (3h) with the cameras included charger its taking 4h.
Canon BP-819 Lithium Ion Battery June 11, 2008 Richard A. Clark (Washington DC) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's just the battery we needed. Live in a large metro area and couldn't find any, Amazon was our last resort and they had it. It works and holds it's charge as indicated by the specifications.
Long battery life - big price July 5, 2008 Jared Borne (Louisiana) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Not much to review other than the massive amount of battery time that I gained over my previous battery that came with the HF-10. Wish the price wasn't so insanely high, but it is almost needed if you buy a camcorder.
