Product Description Experience the thrill of captaining your own boat while searching for undersea riches in Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm for your Windows PC. Battle 40-foot waves, storms, ice and a nearly 100-percent crewmember injury rate on the icy Bering Sea. Select one of 5 real crab boats featured on the Discovery Channel series, or create and customize your own boat. Then choose your own crew from a roster of 20 real crab fishermen. Selecting the wrong boat or crew member can lead to disaster. Lead your fatigued, hungry and hardworking crew in the search for King Crab and Opilio Crab, while battling to secure your catch before other crews get there first. Realism is added with 4 real Bering Sea harbors and 34,000 miles of real Bering Sea coastline created from the United States Geological Survey. Deadliest Catch September 28, 2008 ChrisMan (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this game. It would not work on my old PC but works great on my new one. The graphics are excellent and it is challenging enough for kids over 40.
Good game if you're addicted to the show August 23, 2008 D. Hentze (Staten Island via NJ) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
After several delays, the game is finally released. I've been playing for several hours, and it's quite fun. I haven't noticed any major glitches, although the game does get choppy sometimes even on my fast system, and it took FOREVER for the installation process to start. If you're familiar with, and a fan of the silly show like I am, then you'll probably enjoy the game. It's a good time passer. I thought the graphics might be a little better, but they're still pretty good. Definitely not cutting edge though. All in all, it's a very good game. If you're not a fan of the show, then it probably won't interest you. The game is currently fairly high priced at $37 too. IMO, it's definitely for die-hard "Deadliest Catch" fans only.
Awesome! August 26, 2008 Lirpa4181 (Ft Worth, TX) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I got this game in the mail a week ago. The graphics are remarkable. The four "career" levels that take you through the game range by dificulty. Every now and then, Sig Hanson or a cast member of the "Deadliest Catch" interrupt your game with a video clip to help guide you along the way. "Missions" (1-4) have to be completed BEFORE the career mode is activated. The rest of the missions are unlocked during career game play. Overall the game is awesome! The only down fall is the actual setting of the pots & pulling up the catch has NO fast forward while that's happening. It makes for a little slow moving at times, but you can always turn up your speakers and hear the sea gulls and waves during this.

I downloaded a trial on discovery.com and the graphics were way beyond my expectations. The download played smoothly on my computer so I bought it. The only bad thing I have to say is it loads kind of slow. This game is easy depending on the difficulty you choose. I love this game I play this game every day.
Too slow November 17, 2008 six20 (Texas) Good game. Takes forever to load and it takes forever to play but if you need a game that burns up some time this is it.
