Product Description Use the VERIS A/V Cooler to keep your equipment VERIS cool. Your home stereo equipment generates a lot of heat; a tuner, amp, your CD changer and DVD player together can cook your home entertainment setup and ruin the multimedia system you've worked to create. That's why Antec brings you the A/V cooler, the perfect device for cooling all your home audio/video equipment. Build the home theater you've been dreaming about, without worrying about burning it out. Simply place it on top of your hottest stereo component and let the two speed blowers cool your component while preventing heat from rising to any components you choose to stack on top of the A/V cooler. VERY GOOD AT REMOVING HEAT!!! December 30, 2007 H. Hayman (NJ, USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I don't normally write reviews but this is an excellent product. I put it on top of my Onkyo 705 and keep the doors closed on my entertainment center and it stays very cool. I'm not sure why they don't market this more by it's a fantastic design and idea.
Problem Solved August 18, 2008 Peter West (Orange County, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My DirecTV HD DVR gets too hot even when installed in a ventilated cabinet. As a result, I had to keep the door open to mainatin a reasonable temperature. This Antec unit solved the problem. I run it at the low-speed setting and the DVR remains cool, even in warm weather and when recording the Olympics for several hours. A simple and effective solution.
YES IT WORKS! September 9, 2008 DIMEDAMAGE (OHIO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
just got this from antonline through amazon.it is expensive but well worth it.set it on my receiver watched a movie and my yamaha gets pretty hot when you crank it.it doesnt get ONKYO hot but it does get very warm.this cooler totally took care of the heat problem receiver was cool to the touch even after 2 hours.some said that they didnt like having to turn it on or off manually.well what i did is plugged it into one of my ac outlets on the back of my receiver so when receiver turns on the cooler comes on when the receiver turns off the cooler turns off.and the fan sound couldnt even hear them.so this cooler is well worth keeping your receiver cool and in top notch performance.
Works perfectly. September 16, 2008 Jason Steiner (Glendale, AZ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A simple, effective concept that should have been available years ago. Even on the low setting, it keeps the grill vent on my 700 W receiver cool to the touch after several hours of listening. And it looks nice while it does it. To make it completely convenient, plug the Antec into the switched power outlet on the back of your receiver, or into a A/V power strip with triggered outlets controlled by the 12 V trigger-out port on your receiver. With no noticeable fan noise, and no need to turn it on or off manually, the only thing you'll notice is the blue LED and the longer, trouble-free life your components will enjoy.
Great Cooler October 18, 2008 John F. Mack (Hobart, IN United States) I have an Onkyo TXNR905 receiver which tends to run VERY hot. In fact you could not hold your hand on the cover for more than a few seconds. With the Antec cooler the same spot is only warm even after playing for hours at high volume. Plus the cooler is so quite you can't even hear it! I highly recommend it.
