Product Description CorningWare French White 7-oz Ramekin, Set of 4, French White, Boxed
Amazon.com Review Most of us have become masters of multitasking--answering phones, checking e-mail, and reading simultaneously, and Corningware follows suit with dishes designed for the microwave, oven, tabletop, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Corningware's French White bakeware combines the functionality of classic designs with contemporary styling. This set of four 7-ounce ramekins is ideal for fruit dishes, puddings, or hors devoirs, allowing you to cook in the same dishes you serve with (as with all Corningware and other ceramic or glass bakeware, you'll always need to use potholders when handling the dish). When you're done, you can stick the leftovers in the fridge or the empty ramekins in the dishwasher. The set boasts an impressive 10-year warranty. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

Perfect for individual portions! July 25, 2001 Rebecca Johnson (Washington State) 33 out of 35 found this review helpful
If you enjoy making individual size portions, you can use these for mini-souffles or to serve fruit salad for breakfast. These hold just under 1-cup of liquid and they are about the size of your palm. They are also very useful for dipping sauces or for bite-size vegetables and dip. We mix half mayonnaise and half Italian dressing so we can dip baby carrots into the creamy mixture. When making certain dishes, you might want to measure out your ingredients before you start. (Known as: mise en place) These will hold up to 3/4 cup, or about that amount or dried ingredients. You will then feel like a chef as you toss the ingredients into the bowl when mixing. Also useful for when you are making spicy dishes and you want to mix up all the spices and add them all at once. When you are cooking rice, use these dishes to help shape a pile of rice (press freshly cooked rice into the ramekin) and then turn the dish over on a serving plate...then surround with sauce or your main dish servings. Very nice presentation! Look for a "mini-whisk" for use when you want to mix up a small amount of ingredients in these very versatile dishes. ~The Rebecca Review
I love 'em! January 20, 2006 I'mThinking (SE, TX USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Perfect for dips and snacks when you want a party of four to have small individual bowls. Highly durable and great quality! UPDATE: I've now had mine for nearly 3 years. They still look and perform like the day I purchased them. Highly satisfied with this purchase.
Very useful little dishes! February 16, 2007 "Martial" Mykola from the North East (Philadelphia, PA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We purchased these on a whim one day browsing for some kitchen accessories to go with our new house. We were not looking for them specifically but luckily for us they were on sale for even less than what they are now so how could we resist. Getting to the point though these little ramekins are very useful. They great for use as little fruit cups, deserts, or just for snack dishes. They're also perfect for those parties as dip holders. The only drawback to me is they are not stackable which would make them more than ideal but it's a small drawback!
Reliable products from old standby Corning February 8, 2007 M. L. Kent (rural New England, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I first acquired some of these when a local supermarket chain was having a purchase-stamp promotion years ago. They have been excellent and have survived years of use, subjected to all sorts of thermal torture. Being manufactured from this kind of ceramic material, they are easy to wash to a high standard of cleanliness. And they are very simple and attractive. I was pleased to find that Amazon is now selling them, and have ordered extras, as they are perfect for a brunch I'll be cooking for later on. I had been hoping to get more. There are a couple of caveats: (1) They don't stack particularly well; they aren't designed to. (2) If you like to microwave your hot breakfast cereal like I do, these don't work because of the nearly straight sides. For that, you need to use a vessel that allows your cooking cereal to bubble up without overflowing. Again, they aren't designed for that use. In addition to frequent non-cereal-cooking microwave use - sometimes straight from the refrigerator, I plan to use them for individual servings of a dish that needs to go into the oven for final cooking. And I often use them for cold cereal, fruit, etc.
Perfect size! High quality from a brand you can trust! March 14, 2007 R. Hauck Corningware has been around forever, so it's no surprise these ramekins are the product of such experience. They are the perfect size. They can compliment any table setting from kid-friendly to sophisticated. They are perfect for dips, salsas, puddings, custards, and even individual casseroles. I also use them for preparing recipes and weighing ingredients ahead of time. And lids can be found for them at your local Corningware outlet stores. Definitely a best buy!
