Product Description Keep your cooking salts close at hand in this salt cellar made of solid beechwood with a natural mineral oil finish. It has two hinged compartments to hold different varieties of salt. Hand washing recommended; do not immerse in water. Regularly oiling the wood with mineral oil is recommended to extend the life of the product.

Mario Batali April 8, 2008 Y. Muthafar 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
The cellar has a real heavy weight feel to it and it's made of good quality wood, it has magnets so you only need to push the lid a little bit and the magnet will do the rest for you, it holds a fairly good amount of salt I personally use it to hold coarse and fine sea salts and I love the way it looks near the stove top.
Love this salt cellar April 29, 2008 Shawn C. Pursley (Atlanta) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Fantastic next to the stove. We put coarse in the bottom and fine on top. It can be easily opened when you are cooking and your hands are busy.
Looks and works beautifully October 6, 2008 J. Riquelme (Space Coast, Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a quality product. The size of vessels are excellent. Also it is weighty so it will sit still on counter while you open it with one hand, very important when cooking
Great Salt Cellar! October 5, 2008 Janis Dean Cecil (Alpine, CA (San Diego)) I love my NEW Mario Batalli salt cellar! It holds a lot on the bottom section, for my coarse Kosher salt and the top part, I put my Grey salt or sea salt. The price for a wood salt cellar was really great, and it matches my wood pepper grinder. It keeps closed, when not in use. Has a great look in your kitchen.
It's a winner! October 8, 2008 Alice Erickson (San Jose, CA United States) This is a very nice salt cellar. The lid swings back and forth perfectly, and it's nice to have storage for two different kinds of salt. It's on the large side, but it's worth the space.
