I have been more than pleased with the reconditioned items May 6, 2008 W. Phillips (Wilds of Oklahoma) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have bought here at Amazon. This is the third item and it was boxed and pristine when we received it. It has worked beautifully so far and folks were right, I really needed a burr grinder for my french press. I do notice the difference and it is certainly better than trying to eyeball the correct grind for my press. I have been very pleased with my blade grinder, a Capresso Cool Grind, but this is really better for my french press. The Cuisinart supreme grind burr mill seems well made, sturdy. It is a breeze to use and the grinds have been uniform and perfect for both the drip pot and the french press. Another plus is it's size. I would have to do two batches sometimes three for a full 12 cup drip pot when using my blade grinder. Now I can grind enough for a strong 12 cup brew in less time than grinding one batch with my blade grinder. I am very satisfied with this purchase, and as always Amazon's packing was excellent and shipping was fast.
Refurbished? Looks and works, like brand new to me. August 8, 2008 Shelley 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My 15 year old Delonghi coffee grinder finally had to be replaced. Not that it no longer worked. It was just time for a new coffee grinder. I don't remember what I paid for the Delonghi 15 years ago. But after seeing the prices for the newer top of the line grinders. It was time to check out the refurbished models. I'm delighted with this refurbished Cusinart. It arrived looking as if it was brand new. It's very quiet, compared to the Delonghi. The bean hopper holds double the amount, and the auto measuring feature is wonderful. I'm not sure why a few are complaining about the fine grinding not being fine enough for expresso/cappuccino. But it works great as far as I'm concerned. Any finer grind, would be just shy of powder. I've purchased several refurbished kitchen appliances in the past few weeks. And in by doing so, I've saved several hundred dollars. Every one of the appliances looks and works like brand new. Including this Cusinart refurbished grinder. So, unless you just want to spend a lot of extra money for brand new. Try a refurb or two. Thank you again, Cusinart.

Excellent Grinder August 30, 2008 Liz Kril (Montville, NJ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have the Factory Reconditioned Cuisinat DBM-8FR Sumpreme Grind. I bought mine at $18.29. And now, the day it was delivered it goes for $16.99. (I wish that Amazon would automatically refund the difference, to show TRUE customer service and satisfaction). I set my grind level between fine and medium for 12 cups and the result was a perfectly fine grind. Excellent coffee NOT bidder at all. When I saw how fine the grind was I knew it would also do well for espresso. I can't understand that the other reviewers were not satisfied with the grind. The machine is not as loud as I would have thought, compared to other grinders and reviewers' comments. The coffee I used for my review was LavAzza Gran Filtro Drip Coffee Beans Decaf (Blue and silver label). Coffee Machine: Capresso CoffeeTec drip coffee maker. The grind results are equal to the Industrial machines, without the hefty price tag. You bet your beans I would recommend this coffee maker. For $16.99, I may purchase a backup. What a Deal!!!

I purchased for my mother. She loves it. She said it is easy to operate and does a great job. For me that is a great filling.
