A Terrific Product May 21, 2008 GreatCook (Illinois, USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I was very skeptical about this product but thought I'd give it a try because we use our grill very frequently and it gets very dirty. I added 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to the water reservoir before adding the water. To test it, I tried cleaning a section with the Grate Chef without pressing the water button (i.e., like a regular wire-bristled grill brush) and then tried the rest using the button to add water as I cleaned. The difference was pretty amazing. It cleaned the grill beautifully in no time. I suppose you could try using a damp rag and a regular brush but that would be very messy. The bristles seem to be of good quality and I expect them to last awhile.
Awesome Brush that Steams! June 26, 2008 Richard Kowalske 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's amazing that just by adding water and a little lemon juice how effective this brush is. I will never use any other brush. I highly recommend this product. I also use the Grill Wipes from this company. When I pair the two products together, I get great results. We are frequent grillers and GrateChef's products keep my grill looking new!
Grate Chef works September 16, 2008 Steven Brandt (North Carolina) I originally started to purchase the Big Daddy grill cleaner, but many reviews of that product said that it did not work as good as the Grate Chef, which I ordered. I was quite pleased. Our gas grill had never really been cleaned in the year that we owned it and the Grate Chef did the job quite well. I would recommend the suggestion of using two tablespoons of lemon juice with the water which seems to help. I would definitley recommend this product.
Where's the steam? November 13, 2008 S. Hudson (Lubbock, TX) As my grill heated, I filled the reservoir with water and lemon juice. However, when I tried to clean the grill little or no water came through the grill brush. The brush is quite sturdy, so the grill was a little cleaner after using the brush even though no steam appeared on the heated grill. I am very disappointed in this product.
Broke on first use July 2, 2008 J. Dozal (Newhall, CA United States) I ordered this product from Amazon, got in in the mail a week later. The first time I used it, the bristles started falling out and nothing would spray out of it. Went straight to the trash. That was a quick waste of $15.
