Having bought a generic cartridge, it lasted a week before making a loud noise, and so no more printing. Don't know why the other user on here said it wasn't a Canon product, this is a official Canon product, they even give details on recycling. Yes, these are expensive, but at least it works for longer than a week.

I don't understand the other reviews questioning whether this is bona fide Canon or not. Amazon confirms it is. The package, inner packages, labels, ads, and the product itself all appear to be bona fide Canon.

Good solution for this equipment.
The better is that you have all in one unit, do not need to buy anything else. Great Idea by Canon.
And the better is that still you can reffill it and it works ok.

The cartridge was delivered on time, which was good, since my starter cartridge ran out 2 days later! Although I expected the process to be messy, the installation instructions guided me thru the steps very clearly, and my hands remained clean to the end!! Plus, a free mechanism for returning the old cartridge was included with the purchase.
