stuff works September 12, 2005 Deborah MacGillivray (US & UK) 30 out of 32 found this review helpful
been down the road with flea and tick collars. Most seem to work when they are new. After the first month it's down hill all the way. Also, after having problems with another brand and was looking for something that was vet recommended. This comes with that recommendation. However the proof is in the pudding as they say -- or in this case the pussy cat. This stuff does what is say. It stops fleas. So do your pets the favor. They will thank you. It's given once a month on their shoulder blades. Nothing I have ever used works this good. Enough said. Caution: Some cats get determined to twist themselves in a pretzel to lick this. It can caused them to foam at the mouth and make them hyper for about 24 hours after. Solution is easy. Take an old sock and trim the toes for an opening for kitty's head and the cut two arm holes. Makes a kitty' vest and will keep them from licking their shoudlers. Keep them in it for about 24-36 hours. No problems.
The best stuff out there! March 8, 2007 Crystal (Tampa Bay, FL) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I moved from the midwest to Florida 3 years ago. My cat is an indoor cat and I've had her for 13 years now. When we lived in the midwest, she never had a problem with fleas. When we moved here to Florida, I noticed she kept scratching and biting at her fur. I bought everything that dept. stores carry trying to get rid of the fleas. Nothing worked. I started to panic because she started getting worse and worse. She was ripping her hair out in huge clumps and her skin was black. She had sores all over her. I took her to the vet and he told me that she has a severe allergy to fleas. Unfortunately here in Florida, it's a huge problem. She had such a reaction that she was on the verge of getting mange. He treated her (shaved her, gave me steroids to give to her and a topical cream). After I was finished giving her all of the meds, I took her back for a check up. He gave me a 3 month supply of Frontline and told me to stop buying the stuff dept. stores sell. I was skeptical and scared. But I did as he said and have not regretted it. My cat is healthy again and never pulls at her fur or itches. I know this sounds like an advertisement, but it's not. I swear by this stuff. After having a pet for 13 years, she is a huge part of my family and I couldn't imagine what I'd do without her. I only give her the best. And this is it.
The best defense/a good offense against fleas September 27, 2005 FrKurt Messick (Bloomington, IN USA) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
In my household of several cats, many of whom enjoy going outdoors (and bringing occasional things inside, including fleas), we need something to keep the pests (the fleas, not the cats) under control. Frontline is one of the better products available for this purpose. I've tried other solutions - flea collars, products from other sources, and have only found one other item that matches the Frontline effectiveness for eliminating fleas. Within a day of the first use, the cats had stopped scratching and licking incessantly at their fleas. One of my cats is particularly allergic to fleas, and breaks out with sores at the flea bites - for him, Frontline is nothing short of a miracle. I have known cats to have serious reactions to the flea drops from some companies. My cats have had absolutely no bad reactions to the Frontline applications. This is a product I will definitely buy again. My cats give this a big 16 paw salute (four cats, four paws each, you get the drift).
Nothing else works August 28, 2006 G. Bobbie (PA, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've had some big flea problems in the past. One of my cats had kittens and all five of them, including my other three cats were infested, since the older cats are indoor/outdoor. I consider myself a very clean person, but my house was full of them and I was at my wits end. I had tried everything from bombing, bathing and collars. Nothing worked. Got this product and not only were all the cats flea free, but within 2 days my house was free and clear of them as well. Did you know that flea larva can live in your carpet for up to a year waiting for a host? Not with this product. If you get the root, you get rid of the problem entirely.
yay it worked January 12, 2008 Kevin B (St. Louis) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I tried lots of cheapo solutions such as the Hartz flea drops. They were absolute garbage and literally did nothing. These Frontline drops, however, worked exactly as advertised. Get these now.
