Amazon.com Product Description Keep your sports training focused with this full-sized, shock-resistant Timex Ironman Triathlon multi-function sport digital watch (model T5H581), which features a 30-lap memory and the unique hands-free Flix Indiglo activation system. It features a durable black resin case, large buttons for easy access to timing functions, and a comfortable polyurethane strap. It also offers water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet), three alarms (with 5-minute backup), and three time zones. Other features include a top pusher for easy access to lap and split times, an occasion mode to set reminders for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and appointments, and all-day white reflector display. Sport timing functions include: - 100-hour chronograph with lap or split option in large digits
- 30-lap memory recall
- 2-mode countdown timer
- Forward or backward setting
- Built-in setting reminders
This watch incorporates the Timex Flix system, which activates the Indiglo night-light with a simple flick of your wrist. To activate FLIX, put the watch into Night-Mode by pressing and holding the Indiglo night-light button 3 seconds until it beeps. With the watch in Night-Mode, a forward "flick" of the wrist with a sharp "stop" will activate the Indiglo night-light for three seconds. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

Good, practical watch April 10, 2008 Jimbo 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It does what they say it will. The 3 time zones are very helpful when traveling. It keeps good time. I like the countdown function - helps to remind me when time is up. The Ironman logo on the glass is distracting, but this is the only thing I can complain about. I have had several Ironman watches and I love them. The main downside has been the loop on the watchband. They always break and the end of the band sticks out. This has a different design for the loop, so hopefully it won't break as quickly.
Great watch with replaceable strap! May 26, 2008 Nicholas M. Hincks 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This watch is very good at doing what it says it does. The multiple alarms (3) are really useful. The watch is slightly improved for the triathlon I had in the early 90s. Although it is a digital watch, it doesn't look too ostentatious. My favorite thing about this watch is that you can replace the strap if it breaks, which is not the case on the newer sleek-style timex watches (also I don't really like the way they look).
Good running watch May 4, 2008 Young K. Kim (Washington, DC) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had another Ironman watch, a midsize that was black and grey. This fullsize one is a little different - seems to have more features and has a more flexible band. It also seems more comfortable while running. I realy like the all black with a bit of red appearance. The multi-colored watches just seem a bit less serious and maybe less 'manly'.
Not user Friendly August 29, 2008 ZBS (stlouis mo) My previous Timex watch allowed me to turn the stopwatch on in one step. This one u must press the mode switch to bring the stop watch function up then press the start button. Alot of hassle. The band also has a notch on the band that makes it a hassle getting off and on. I really loved my old Ironman. This new one is just OK
