Product Description Push Ups are a great way to develop your upper body strength. The muscle groups that are primarily used are the Pectorals (Chest) and Triceps (Back of Arms). The GoFit Push Up Stands allow for a greater range of motion, giving you better and more efficient development of these muscle groups. The nice thing about Push Ups is that you can do them virtually anywhere.

Now drop and give me 50! July 26, 2007 J. A. Geary (Lakeland, FL USA) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
These push-up bars are sturdy, light and YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET A BETTER WORKOUT THAN ORDINARY PUSH-UPS THAT YOU WILL FEEL AND SEE if you use them diligently, properly and don't over-train. I even take them on the road with me (unless I'm flying) because they're light and don't take up a lot of room in my gym bag. Push-up bars bars like these are a necessary part of any home fitness equipment to give you greater range of motion (and therefore forcing you to recruit more muscles in your arms, chest and back) than ordinary push-ups. I bought my set in the spring of 2005 when I was rehabbing my body after cancer, chemo and radiation had kicked the crap out of me and I had lost over thirty pounds. With these guys and variations of grip (wide, neutral, semi-narrow), I had significantly increased my upper body strength and mass over all in a couple of months and was ready to hit the gym again. The only drawback is that the foam padding is a tad skimpy which can get to be hard on the heels of your palms and wrists if you're doing multiple sets with high reps in a neutral position. I give these bars 5 stars for the price, the function they serve, and because they've held up nicely with fairly regular use over two years. Addendum - 052408: It's been over three years now and they're still a staple of my home workout routine 2x a week. I do multiple sets to failure each set, so they get fairly rigorous use. Foam padding is holding up and no signs of wear and tear. I will say that if you're over 210 you might want to consider something heavier. But if you're in the 160 - 200 range (after cancer, when I first bought these - see above-, I was 147 lbs and am now 178), these should serve you just fine.
Outstanding Fitness Accessory November 3, 2006 KennyR (Northeast) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I love the bars because they are lightweight, come apart for easy packing in my small travel bag for when I'm on the road and then go together within seconds. They allow me to have a great upper body workout while also targeting the abs. I simply vary the spacing and I can attack different parts of my arms & pecs. These were a great value and I'm buying a second set so I can keep one set in my travel bag.

This product is made of plastic I thought it was made of steel but it works fine.
Light, plastic - and perfect September 19, 2007 Fergal Leonard (Ex Ireland, now New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These do exactly what they should. I would just do regular press-ups but find that these cause wrist pain. They are light, plastic, cheap (so can be lost without upset), can be very easily pulled apart for transport and put back together again. I bring them with me on my work travels so can at least do some exercise even if my hotel doesn't have a gym. They don't come with any instructions for exercises, but you can of course use them for more than press-ups. I'm glad I bought them, and would recommend them to anyone who gets pain in the their wrists when doing press-ups.
Sturdier than I expected them February 8, 2008 Rafael E. Belliard (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
They're pretty sturdy (they don't feel unstable at all) and I love the fact that they're detachable, in case I decide to move them around in tiny spaces a lot. The handles are very comfortable too. Great for regular push-ups as well as chest push-ups (just twist the bars around).
