Huh? Hold on, I have earplugs in and can't hear you. July 23, 2008 K. Varraso (Boston, MA USA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Someone I know has a lot in common with a lion or a wild boar when he is sleeping. The noise is such that I would never get any sleep at all unless I used some very good earplugs. These are some very good earplugs. They're made of a soft, rubbery plastic that you roll into a soft tube and put in your ear. Then, over the next few seconds, the world gets quieter and becomes blissfully silent. Then you can sleep, read, study, whatever you want that needs a little peace and quiet. (These also work well when you want to ignore noisy neighbor parties) This package of earplugs is great for long term or for use by multiple people. The plastic jar that holds the earplugs keeps them clean, and is a handy addition to any nightstand. It's one of those rare, simple product that makes a claim and lives up to that claim completely. I couldn't recommend them any more highly.
good for noise reduction in home settings November 10, 2008 smeroff (Rochester, NH United States) My husband snores loudly and I've been using ear plugs for the past ten years to sleep more soundly. These ear plugs worked just as well as others I've used at a NRR 29 rating, but at a fraction of the drugstore's cost of $10 for a 50-ct. pkg. They come individually-packaged so they're easy to take when traveling, too.
What? WHAT? Oh, sorry - earplugs, man November 19, 2008 Shreddin' Mike (San Francisco, CA United States) These are great - individually packaged in a hundred separate pairs, these are very effective and very inexpensive. I'm used to going in to Walgreens or Rite-Aid and paying $4 or so for 10 pair, so this is one heck of a great deal. Comfortable, too, once you get used to this type of earplug.
Great deal November 30, 2008 Wayne (Union City, CA USA) These earplugs are the type that you roll to compress, and then let expand in your ears. They are tapered and fit better than the cylindrical yellow kind. They do a great job of blocking out noise, and seal well when they expand. You can pinch them to relieve the pressure when removing them, but pull them out slowly anyway since that does not always work. The description says 200 earplugs, but it's 200 pairs. At 50 cents a pair in local stores, they are a good deal, provided you save them for reuse, be careful with them, don't hand them out to others, and use them occasionally. Amazon's price fluctuates, but if you can get them at [...], that's about 3.5 cents a pair. Now I can keep spares just about anywhere and give them away without worrying about whose ears they've been in.
Excellent for Sleeping!!! December 7, 2008 Dean Dauphinais (Grosse Pointe, MI USA) I am a very light sleeper and have tried many different brands of earplugs over the years. I've always had the same problem, though: The earplugs go in nice, but end up falling out during the night, which is really a pain. But that problem is non-existent now, thanks to these Milwaukee earplugs. I bought these during a Friday sale and got a great price on them. The price was so good, in fact, that I was skeptical that they would work. But lo and behold, these are the best earplugs I've ever used for sleeping! Roll the tip a bit between your finger and thumb (to make it a bit narrower), insert the earplug into your ear, then hold it in place until the tip expands to fit your ear snugly. Repeat with the other ear, and you're good to go! These earplugs block out a lot of sound, are comfortable, and easy to use. It's also nice that the earplugs are individually wrapped in pairs. This makes it real easy to pack some for traveling, or for keeping some on-hand in the glovebox of the car, your briefcase, or whatever. I'm really glad I bought these!!
