Amazon.com Product Description With this non-stop, self-adjusting Casio Waveceptor timepiece, you don't have to worry about replacing batteries because it's solar powered and you'll have confidence of always knowing the correct time via the integrated atomic timekeeping technology. This stylish watch is suitable for both professional and casual wear, and it's complemented by a contemporary black resin strap. It includes a stopwatch function that can measure events down to 1/100 of a second for the first 60 minutes (and down to 1 second from 60 minutes to 100 hours), and it offers elapsed and split time modes, and 1st-2nd place times. Other timekeeping features include: - World Time: 29 time zones (30 cities), city code display, daylight saving on/off
- 3 Daily Alarms
- Hourly Time Signal
- 12/24 Hour Formats
This timepiece also features an Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2039), 15-second accuracy per month, Afterglow backlighting, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--offering protection from accidental splashes as well suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and light recreational diving. This solar-powered watch has a battery life of up to 5 months on a full charge (without further exposure to light). This multi-band radio-controlled watch receives a time calibration signal transmitted from several locations across the globe (the U.S. and Japan), and it has an auto receive function (up to 6 times per day). You can choose to automatically receive this signal four times a day, or manually update the watch to the atomic clock.

Best watch I have ever owned!!! July 22, 2008 Jim K (Kansas City, MO United States) 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
I'm normally not one to write product reviews, but I cannot say enough good things about this watch. In the past, I was a watch collector and rotated among wearing several watches depending upon my activity (work, sports, etc.) and mood (dress, casual, quirky). Since I purchased this watch several years ago on Amazon, I've pretty much abandoned my other watches and wear this one exclusively. It's comfortable, easy-to-read, and looks great for both business and casual wear. It's also the lowest maintenance watch I've ever owned. Because it's solar-powered, I've never had to mess with replacing the battery. And with its atomic clock capability, I've never had to mess with adjusting the time, especially when Daylight Savings Time rolls around. When my wife and I spent two weeks in England last fall, I kept the analog set to our "home" time and used the digital inset for UK time (it is easy to toggle between different time zones in digital mode). Finally, even after wearing it daily for several years, it still looks almost new. I thought I'd be turned off by the plastic band, but it has also turned out to be the most durable watchband I've ever owned. I sure don't miss having to replace batteries and watchbands! If I had to list any cons about this watch, it can be a little tricky to set, but that's mostly because I never have to mess with it and then have to dig out the small print instructions. I also don't use any of the advanced functions like the alarm or stopwatch. Otherwise, I've enjoyed this watch so much that I'm tempted to get a spare in case my trusty original ever wears out.
great watch for little price August 12, 2008 ttran (Texas) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I got this watch with the discount by getting the Amazon rewards visa card and it only costs me 37 dollars. I can't ask anything better that. This watch looks great, very light weight compare to my other Casio. It was much easier to set up, especially the home city setting. It also has a stop watch and lit up in the dark. Overall, I would recommend this watch and with the atomic and solar feature, this would take lots of worry out of the owner.
I really like this watch June 12, 2008 Andrew J. Fisher 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
The instructions are a little complicated and very small if you are vision challenged. It took me a couple of hours to set up my home city and understand how to navigate the functions. Now it's setup I love it. The watch dial is easy to read, it glows in the dark. It receives the time signal in Houston with no problem. The only negative would be the rubber band but I'm getting used to it. Definately worth the $.
Fantastic watch and great value! September 6, 2008 John (Cleveland, Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This watch was exactly what i was looking for. Low cost, no batteries to replace, and atomic clock accuracy. The quality is great for the price. It's very comfortable to wear. I prefer this watch to all of my other watches that cost 8 times more.
Excellent September 23, 2008 Ashwini Aragam (Worcester, PA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My 14 year old son wanted a watch as he started High School. He pored over Amazon reviews and selected a few Casio watches. I wanted it to be Green as well and it would be nice if the watch adjusted itself automatically, day and night. He wanted both Analog and Digital displays with Date. This led us to The Waveceptor Atomic Solar. The reviews were pretty good. The watch started moving as soon as we opened the box. It set itself the time. So connecting to the source wasn't an issue. Being in an urban area on the East coast closer to New York helped maybe. The display is neat and kind of cute. The watch appears a bit big (not the Skagen look), but very appropriate for a High schooler - tough and sturdy. The strap is sturdy resin construction; I have seen such straps to break over a period of many years, but that is long way off. It is water resistant enough to wear it during swimming. The instruction manual was a challenge and we were concerned reading it at night - it is impractically small, but there is always daylight! Can't be happier with this. I will probably get one myself for Holidays!
