Very Nice March 29, 2008 J. Witt (Tennessee, USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Over all this phone is very nice. I've had it for a while and I've certinly put it to the test. It's been dropped, thrown, and even submerged in water for about 2 seconds and it still works fine. One thing that has occured because of the daily ware is a really annoying creaking noise when I type. It's usually just w/ the numbers but it sometimes w/ the qwerty keyboard. I highly recomend it as a first or second phone for ages 12-25. The texting is awsome and there's no fuss of adding names and such to the T9w dictionary. If you don't usually text this phone is just like any other. But in the end I give it a 5 star rating.
LG Rumor Review. October 10, 2008 Mo Cheng (voyager-lg.com) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
THE GOOD The LG Rumor has a lovely design, with a built-in hidden QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging. Features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, Bluetooth, and more. It provides easy access to Facebook, plus it supports Sprint Navigation. THE BAD The LG Rumor does not have EV-DO, and surfing the Web can be quite slow. The screen has poor resolution, and the camera has no flash. THE BOTTOM LINE Though the LG Rumor is not as fast as we'd like, it's still a great messaging multimedia device for those who don't need a lot of speed. http://www.LG-Rumor.com has more information.
This phone is outrageous. November 18, 2008 Dri the Complex Lonely (USA) Texting keyboard, nice colors (I have a royal blue), it's a camera, it's a camcorder, it's an mp3 player, it has video options, you can get ringtones from http://www.myxer.com for cheap (you only pay for the minutes you use on the internet downloading the songs/wallpapers, whatever), after a a few seconds of inactivity, it locks so you don't waste the battery as much (just unlock/lock it by pressing and holding the back button for about 2 seconds), you can surf on the internet (it's free/or isn't free depending on the plan you get), tons of settings and tools to fool around with and much more. This is the first phone that was an mp3 player, a camera and a camcorder all in one (for me) so I'm enjoying taking pictures and listening to music very much. There is only one super-small issue that shouldn't be a big deal and might happen with other phones too - when someone texts you, and you don't reply but you DO see the message that was sent, the phone acts like you never saw the message and counts it as a missed message. Very minor like I've said but I just thought I'd mention it. The pictures that it takes are pretty good as long as there is good lighting. 4.5 stars. end note: Get the LG Rumor. It's a great phone, and although I've only owned two cell phones in my lifetime I think that's saying something. My first phone was a Virgin Oystr and you couldn't go to myxer.com because it wasn't compatible. If you get this phone I promise you won't regret it. Plus, it's a phone that not many people go for, I think. Most everyone is going after the iPhone or Blackberries which are too expensive/and aren't worth it from what I hear. I posted the rating as a 5 because this phone is that good.
Good Phone, but there's room for improvement, 3.5 stars January 22, 2008 Lily Chan (pasadena, ca) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
Pros: -Uses Sprint Vision (Not Power vision - EV-DO) so I didn't need to change my plan. -but this may be a con for others- -Qwerty key pad -1.3 Mp camera - Applications: Facebook, Aim, Instant messenger, Email, internet. -Micro Sd slot so you can store more music and pictures -Bluetooth -size and weight is great and the raised buttons make it easier to dial. -music player sounds pretty good Cons: *Some of my con's are quiet specific to things that I usually want/need in a phone, and didn't realized until after I had received the phone. Its still a good phone, but I would be happier if it had some improvements. -Camera doesn't have a flash. -Glitches in photo program. If you select pictures to save to your phone (either via online albums or pictures sent) it may save the photos you didn't want, or will just save the first photo 3 times, instead of the 3 different photos you selected. -QWERTY key pad should have a button for the period, you need to "shift" then hit the period. -The typing software can use some improvement, such as predicting words and such. The feature is there but lacks accuracy. -Screen needs better resolution & colors. currently 176x220 pixel resolution. -*Can't use own music (on SD card) as ringtones, -*Difficult/can't use own pictures (from SD card) as the background/screen-saver.. I still can't figure it out. -*Short cut navigation key for some reason the category "My content" doesn't let you make a shortcut for the sections within it. I want a shortcut key to Google maps, which is within 'my content', but it doesn't allow it, the best it will do is let you shortcut to 'my content' and then you have to scroll from there which is kinda annoying.. -*The idle/key lock screen is always the black screen with the time that you can't change. -*There isn't a flashing light to tell you of a missed alert, until you click on a button and see the black/keylock screen. Else the phone just looks like its sleeping, so you have to consistently click on the buttons to see if you've missed any alerts. Pictures you take with the phone look pretty well (granted you have the prefect lighting) on the computer, but everything on its low resolution screen makes photos seemed washed out and blurry.
Great Phone February 27, 2008 J. Walker (Saint Louis, MO United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is really a great phone. I have chubby fingers but the keyboard was easy to use. There is room for improvement, of course. At the moment there are not many applications you can use with this phone. For instance, games like Jewel Quest, Solitaire, etc. The only pack you can get is the Vision Pack. The browser could be better. Overall, I love the phone!!
