Excellent Hands Free Device April 10, 2007 Gadget Man (California) 48 out of 49 found this review helpful
I tried five wireless Blue Tooth headsets (Plantronic, Logitech, Samsung, Jabra, etc)and none worked very well -- with one issue or another. Some sounded tinney, and all carried lots of road noise. So the people on the other end always complained. In stepped in the BlueAnt Bluetooth which I read about as Gadget of the Week in Barons. The device works very well. I simply leave it on the magnetic holder provided which rests on the Visor. I can hear the caller very clearly. The device is especially good at boosting the volume level. So I can turn the volume up and hear even the softest voices while traveling on the highway. On the other side of the call, the callers tell me that the voice quality is pretty good, with a hint of echo sometimes. Most important, they don't complain about road noise. I leave the device in the car all the time, and recharge it about once a week. The on-off switch is great. You flip the microphone down toward you and it is ON. You flip it back flat into the device, and it is off. So there's never a mystery about whether it is ON or OFF. I highly recommend this device for anyone who uses the cell phone while driving. Keep in mind that this device is essentially a speakerphone in the car. So everyone in the car will be able to hear the conversation, and everyone in the car is able to speak to the person on the other end of the call. So anyone who rideshares to commute may have issues with this feature.
Excellent sound, simple to use September 16, 2006 L. Prokopets (Ridgefield, CT) 29 out of 31 found this review helpful
I bought this for my wife who has been driving around holding her cell phone (turned to the speakerphone setting) in front of her face. I could never quite understand what she was saying - there was a lot of noise, words were cut off, and sound quality was just poor. So, I decided to give her a Supertooth II. She absolutely loves it - it's easy to use, the sound is loud and clear for both parties, even at highway speed, and there are no words cut off. My wife even liked the "retro" look. I will probably be buying one for my car as well so I don't have to rely on headsets. I highly recommend this product.
Super Solution - works Terriffic November 20, 2006 Baystarone (San Diego, CA USA) 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
I had the choice of finding a better hands free device, or buying a new car with integrated Blue Tooth for my Blackberry. I opted for the BlueAnt portable Hands Free Supertooth II. I paired the unit promptly. Having used many differnt blue tooth headsets, (Oakly/Motorola Sunglases, Plantronics, etc) I found the Supertooth to pair easily, and works terrific. With the Blackberry you have to press the connect button on the Supertooth when you first enter the vehicle to have it recognized by the Blackberry, but once connected, it is very reliable and the sound quality is fantastic. Charge lasts for a week on the road, and about 20 hours of talk time. The benefit of the Supertooth is you can take it into your office or home and have a high quality speakerphone should you need to do a conference call from your cell. - if you want to move away from a headset and still have hands free in your car, consider the Supertooth II. It's a great solution.
Simple & Works very well August 5, 2006 Clyde 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
The BlueAnt Supertooth II is an excellent tool for talking on the phone in the car. It is clear, loud, and simple to use. It is the perfect compliment to my RAZR. Highly recommended.
Good product vs the others April 7, 2007 Arun (Washington, DC USA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I compared the BlueAnt with the Motorola models but the battery life got me sold. You can pair up to two phones with the device. Range is good. The 1st call you make/receive may take an extra second or two to sync but after that, it connects instantly. The clip on the visor may leave footprints on leather surfaces. So I use double sided velcro. You will be happy.
