I originally purchased this web cam from Dell after shopping 2 retail stores.I found it on Amazon.com for 24 Dollars less than Dell. This camera had more features than the two I saw at the retail stores. I returned the web cam to Dell.I also checked ten other web sites for the same product, and found Amazon.com to be the cheapest. Plus Logitech was offering a Rebate so the camera cost me less than ten Dollars, with free shipping and no sales tax, it was like I got it for free. Logitech is a name you can trust, for quality and features and it fits perfect on my Lap Top. The sound and picture quality is phenomenal.

I bought this camera so that my wife could take it with her when she travels internationally. I have a MacBook Pro with the iSight, but her Sony PC laptop doesn't have a built-in camera.
I chose this particular money because Logitech was running a rebate that took the final price down to $12.
Using Skype for video chatting, the camera works great. Video is more than acceptable, and the audio is also very good. My only complaint is that occasionally Skype forgets its settings for using this camera as the video and audio source. Not sure if that is a camera issue, a Skype issue or a Windows issue. Not a good thing to happen if the person is not computer-saavy, but easy to fix if you know what to do.
Overall, I highly recommend this camera if you are going to use it for personal use and don't want to spend a fortune (assuming the rebate is still valid).

This is a great webcam for the price, i got a rebate on it and ended up only paying 10 dollars and it was well worth it. the microphone works great within 4 feet, beyond that, you have to speak loudly to be heard, but the clarity is very good, and the picture, varies but for the most part is very clear and when using skype and enabling the full screen option, the picture is not grainy or pixelated, it is mostly clear which is not something that i have achieved with the more expensive logitech pro 9000. it doesn't have auto focus and can't rotate, but is very small and compact to carry. good webcam for the price!

even though it is not listed as mac compatible, i plugged into my powerbook and without loading any software or doing any configuration, it has worked perfectly. i use it with skype all the time and have had no problems whatsoever. voice and picture quality are excellent.

Bought it for $36, about $20 below suggested retail price...Downloaded it to my laptop and the download took about 5 minutes with the disk that came with the webcam...The quality of the camera is very good, if not excellent, and the free Skype download and software works extremely well, with numerous options to customize how you use the webcam on your computer...All in all,a remarkable webcam for the price..I have a friend who paid more than twice as much for a high-end webcam, which she tells me is not as good as mine in terms of picture quality....Go get yourself one of these, and see how far webcam technology has advanced!!!
