Don't believe the naysayers -- take it from me, an owner of three cats in a small house.
I've used all kinds of brushes, combs, and rakes to get rid of all that fur. I even tried those sticky grooming gloves to no avail. Nothing worked to my satisfaction until I got this FURminator tool.
You would not believe the amount of fur I pulled off my three cats. The only other time I got so much fur out of the house was when Stanley Steemer came to steam-clean the carpet and raked it. No kidding.
This tool was worth the money I paid for it. Period. I will buy this product again and again to comb all that nasty fur from my fur babies.

Not only do I love my Furminator, my Malamute likes it too. She has the itchies from allergies and loves to be brushed with the Furminator. It gets out tons of hair that you would never be able to remove with a regular brush or comb. I took it to the dog park and let some people try it out on their dogs, they all wound up buying one. Yes the price does seem a bit high but it is a very sturdy brush that will last a lifetime.

I bought the furminator on ebay for about 30.00, and thought it was pretty high. But I also "bought" the promise it works wonder. My cats hair isnt long nor short, but THICK, SO...paying 30 beat having hair in my food , my sofa and clothes, so I paid it, happily. the first couple tries I wasnt very satisifed because it was doing minimal on my cat ...until. I started to apply my pressure and boy.. was the hair coming offf..the tool is very comfortable to use and vvery verstaile esp. if you buy the small you can get between the legs and under arms, usually hard with the larger combs. Anyway, it was worth the 30.00 and honestly i would have expected to PAY MORE if i'd known how well it had worked. AMAZZZING

My sister and I purchased the furminator because we have two dogs and two cats! We didn't really think that any type of "brush" was worth the price of the furminator, but we were desperately searching for an answer to our shedding issues. All I have to say is that after trying the furminator I will gladly be an official spokesperson! I have begun singing its praises to anyone who will listen! So far, those who I have recommended it to have been extremely surprised and happy at the results. The pictures of the animals laying in piles of fur are very true! Just by brushing our dogs and cats about once every two weeks the amount they shed was probably cut by 75 percent! If you are looking for something to help with your pet's shedding buy the furminator. Everything they promise is true and you will definitely be happy with it. I haven't tried anything else that compares. Happy brushing!!

This is by far the best deshedding tool I have used so far on my 3 year old black lab. It really pulls out the loose undercoat and dead hair that would normally just stick around ad nauseum.
My dog doesn't mind this brush at all, in fact he seems to like the stroking. I do make sure he's occupied with a rawhide since I spend 20-30 minutes working the coat.
I'm not sure how well this would work on a longer haired dog like the goldens, but for the labs and the like, it's outstanding. You will be astonished at how much hair you're able to comb out of your pup.
