Great running and triathlon watch - 1 year review December 29, 2007 D. Derenzo (Fort Lauderdale, FL United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have worn many digital watches to time myself in the 30+ years I've been running. I have to say this is the lightest, most comfortable I've ever worn. You don't even know its on. It's also great for swimming because it has a smooth, low profile case that creates almost zero "drag" in the water. The readout is large and easy to read. I've used it for close to a year now in about 15 triathlons, 30 running races and numerous workouts. The watch still looks like the day I bought it except for some very light scratches on the glass that are barely noticeable. I've had no issues with the band at all. Only problem I have, and its common with all the Timex Ironman watches, its confusing to recall and review your saved laps. I would love to see Timex sell a GPS watch with this form factor without needing anything additional to pick up the satellite signal, etc. Highly recommended!!
Timex REPLACES the BANDS!! July 25, 2006 D. Shin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My band broke on this watch and I called the Timex Store and they sent me a prepaid envelope/box to mail my watch to them, and I got it back within 2 weeks with a new band. It only cost $7.
Timex Sleek Watch is perfect for long-distance runners January 12, 2007 Mike M. Ong (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the watch in Dec and have gone on many long runs where I needed to keep a constant pace. This watch is perfect for determining the pace at the mile markers. It's intuitive and very easy to use. Getting the data out is a little more difficult, but doable. I highly recommend it for runners.
My second Ironman watch March 15, 2007 mountainmom (Brevard NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm ;logged in on my wife's accont. I never had problems with the band. I liked the first one so much that after I ran over it with my car, I ordered another. If you think of it as a throw away watch and keep it for two years, you'll love it. It has a very intuitive design, is lightweight and just works.
The ultimate test March 25, 2007 M. Donato (Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I never had a problem with mine,I'm a marine and the fact that I went trough combat with mine and held up made it worth the few bucks I paid for it.I go trough watches like they are made of paper, had this one for 2.5 yrs and other than a lot of scratches it works fine.
